About Us
Sunset Montessori School was founded in 1978.
It is located in a Colonial home on over 1 acre of land in South Miami. It is truly a “Children’s House”. A large tree-shaded play area in the back has excellent equipment for physical exercise.
The school has met the most rigorous standards that are applied to a Montessori School. The lead teachers have A.M.I or A.M.S. diplomas.
The Montessori Method gives each child the chance to fulfill his potentials, therein becoming a secure, intelligent and well-balanced human being. Sunset Montessori School adheres to a policy of nondiscrimination in educational programs/activities and employment practices, striving to provide equal opportunity for all.

We are so happy we chose Sunset Montessori for our daughter. We love knowing that she is not only receiving a wonderful education but is also in a loving environment. We also appreciate how clean and safe the school is. The Montessori Method has proven to be a great learning method for her, she has grown more independent and curious about everyday life and various activities, even simple things at home such as helping set up the dinner table, participating in cooking, and even separating laundry.
